Case Study: OnlyBurger Goes from Wheels to Brick & Mortar

We’ve been asked a lot lately for examples of food trucks who have leveraged their mobile success to invest in brick and mortar restaurants. And, we love bragging about OnlyBurger up the street in Durham who recently started a brick and mortar location after much success from their usual business-on-wheels.

OnlyBurger started their food truck in 2008 as one of the first food trucks in Durham. With tremendous support from Durham foodies, students  and beyond they pioneered the thriving food truck community in Durham. You can find them throughout the Triangle at all hours of the day and (late) night – and easily by tracking them on Twitter. And, with an increasing demand for their delicious burgers in a sit-down restaurant, they opened OnlyBurger the restaurant in 2010.  Check them out next time you’re in the Triangle!

In addition to all that OnlyBurger has added to the vitality of the Triad, they have put their community on the map with national media exposure in the New York Times and Martha Stewart Living and their recent runner-up finish in the national America’s Favorite Food Truck Giveaway on The Food Network.
